Some people never find their passion, but Ray White salesperson, Vishal Kataria discovered his early.


When Vishal graduated high school, he quickly obtained work experience which granted him the insight to know what he did, and didn’t, want. Initially studying as a builder’s apprentice, Vishal was able to absorb the fundamentals of the construction industry, an invaluable tool for his
future career in real estate. Subsequently, he took the opportunity to build his sales and customer relations experience with a frontline position at one of New Zealand’s largest home retail stores; receiving several commendations on his superior customer care.

Around twelve months later, Vishal’s family purchased a greengrocer, and he jumped at the chance to assist and support the family business. In the process, he added to his growing list of professional strengths. Honing his interpersonal skills, he also learned the fine art of negotiation, time management, product purchasing and supply and the crucial importance of presentation in sales.


It was during the sale and purchase of their family home that Vishal and his sister, Tania Kataria, became inspired by the real estate process and the Ray White salespeople who facilitated the contracts. Without further ado, the high-achieving siblings each obtained their
salesperson’s licence and successfully applied for a sales team position at Ray White Manurewa.

Both Vishal and his sister are known for their friendly smiles and their ability to relate to anyone.  It helps tremendously that the pair speak Hindi, Punjabi, and English, a considerable advantage for communicating with the vast multicultural network of vendors and buyers in South Auckland.
