Licensee Salesperson, Ray White Drury
Ji Seon Lim goes by the name of ‘Sun’, reflecting both her birth name and her warm, friendly personality. Upon arrival from Korea in 2000, she studied English in Nelson and met her future husband. Subsequently completing her Diploma in Computer Science in Korea, Sun returned in 2001 to marry, and make New Zealand home.
Initially, she gained employment as a resource person for Korean students before settling on her in-law’s horticultural farm in Drury. Both generations managed flower cultivation and distribution businesses, allowing Sun the freedom to start a family. Her children grew, allowing her to study web design and development, after which she accepted an I.T. position in the city. Never afraid to try new things, she later purchased and managed a cafe. The joy she received from providing exceptional customer service gave her clear insight into where her real talents lay.
Sun credits her husband for encouraging her to gain a real estate salesperson’s licence; he knew of her passion for property and renovation, foretelling a great match. He was right; she flew through in six short weeks. A natural problem solver with a drive to make others happy, Sun shows many of the traits required to be a success; positivity, authenticity, intelligence and curiosity. The same characteristics which helped her secure a coveted position at Ray White Drury. Placed to become the central resource person facilitating the local Korean community with property advice, she also utilises her experience in renovations as a valuable tool, helping you to visualise potential in your new home. Her qualifications in I.T. are an undeniable advantage for marketing your property to its full reach and potential.
Career diversity is a result of Sun’s lifetime passion for trying different things, her need for challenge, and her desire to succeed in contrasting roles. Nevertheless, Sun’s ambition to be the best in her newfound career is unmistakeable, nominating it as her “lifetime choice”. She’ll also joke that she wants to be "Supermum". To that end, she spends most of her time out with her children and family.
