Simon Damerell

CEO, Ray White Ponsonby

Simon commenced his working life as a cadet at, what was then, the Government Valuation Department carrying out valuations for rating purposes.

He participated in the revaluation of Ponsonby. A year at the Town Planning School at the University of Auckland followed.

A change of career saw Simon progress through teaching to become the Principal at Remuera Primary School.

It was whilst a principal that Simon honed his belief in customer service, client participation, communication and high standards of ethics.

Prior to leaving the teaching profession Simon spent periods as Chairperson of the Auckland Primary Principals' Association, and served on the board of the Auckland Employers' Association - noe the Employer and Manufacturers Association.

Simon commenced his real estate career in 1996.

He lived in the Ponsonby area during the 1970s, as a student, and move back here in the mid 90s.

He joined the Ray White Ponsonby team in 1997.

He, and the team at Ray White Ponsonby are very clear of their role; to achieve the highest price for each vendor by marketing each home to the widest possible market, and developing a marketing strategy to give the greatest probability of multiple offers on one day.

Simon is in partnership with Gower Buchanan and Carole Pedder. Their aim is to be proud of every aspect of their business, every transaction and the way in which every person on the team carries out their role, whether it be the salesteam, marketing or other various clerical tasks.
