What is Ray White Live Online Auctions?

Ray White Live Online Auctions are just that! Live Online Auctions that you can view and bid on in real-time, while being able to see the live in-room action from wherever you login. Take a look at this video. All you need is a Windows or Mac computer (or iPhone with the “AuctionEar” app), flash enabled web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer), and an internet connection (500Kbps or higher).

Are all Ray White auctions online?

No. Property listings on raywhite.com with the “Register now for online auction” button will be available for live online bidding. If you’re unsure about a particular property, please talk with the agent listed on the property page. If the property is not listed for Ray White Live Online Auctions, the listing agent may be able to organise phone bidding for you.

I’m interested in bidding on a property, how do I register?

It’s really simple.

  1. You can contact the agent listed on the property page directly.
    OR
You can go to raywhite.com/liveauctions/  and fill out our online registration with your details and the property you are interested in, and the property listing agent will contact you.
  2. The agent will request a copy of your photo identification (Drivers Licence, Passport or other).
  3. Sign the “Bidder Registration Form” and “Terms of Auction”, then scan and email these to the agent.
  4. Once you have been approved to bid, the Ray White Live Online Auctions team will email your username, password and the link to login on the day of auction.

When do registrations close?

Registration closes 48 hours prior to the auction. This gives our listing agents time to contact you, have you sign the registration documents and process you as a Bidder.

Do I need to register for each separate auction “event”?

Yes. When you fill out the “Register to bid” area on the webpage and specify which property you are interested in, you are registering for the auction “event” in which that property will be auctioned. You will then be approved by the listing agent to bid on any property at that auction “event” only.

Should you wish to bid on another property at another auction at a later date, please contact the listing agent to be approved for bidding at that auction “event”.

Ray White Live Online Auctions registration is closed, but I’d still like to bid on tomorrow’s auction!

Not to worry. Contact the listing agent to organise a phone bidding authority. On the day of the auction you can still login as a Viewer (bidding disabled) and see the live bids, auctioneer and all the action! That way you’ll still be able to place bids on the day by phone.

How do I login?

You can click on the link in the email you received with your username and password, or go to raywhite.com/liveauctions/  and enter your username and password in the“Bidder sign in” area.

There’s no auction on today. Why can’t I see anything?

Our Live Online Auctions are exactly that – LIVE! Outside of our scheduled auction times, the Ray White Live Online Auctions system will not accept bids or stream video. (You will be able to see the Order of Sale for the next auction though). To find out when our next auction will be held, contact us by email at liveauctions@raywhite.com

How do I bid?

Take a look at our “How to bid” video here.

What happens if I make a mistake?

If you click the bid button by mistake or enter the wrong amount using the “Your own bid” field, open the “Clerk Chat” by clicking on the words “Clerk Chat” just above the video of the auctioneer. This will let you communicate with the online clerk who will relay your message to the auctioneer.

Please note, while we will endeavor to retract your bid, the auctioneer’s decision is final, and in the case of a dispute, Any bids you make are legally binding.

Can I just view an auction?

Still looking for the “right” property but want to check out Ray White Live Online Auctions? Simply go to raywhite.com/liveauctions/ and click on the “Today’s auction” button in the bottom right of the webpage. Bidding will be disabled, but everything else looks just like our Bidder Screen.
