Sales Support, Ray White Waiheke
Chris Smith says the main kick he gets from selling real estate comes from helping people achieve their dreams.
Chris is well aware that buying a house is one of the biggest decisions people make in their lives. That’s why he always goes the extra distance for his clients.
“The key to a successful sale is listening to what people are saying; I treat them with respect, not just a voice on the end of a phone. I realise it’s a big thing, selling or buying a home. It can be very stressful.”
Chris comes to Ray White Waiheke from Te Awamutu with 20-plus years’ experience in retail, including running his own business.
“I came to Waiheke for the change of lifestyle. I’m a small town person not a city person.”
He’s loving the change of scene and pace. While real estate keeps him on his toes with its challenges, it doesn’t tie him down to a desk 9 to 5. “It allows me time to do other things I have a passion for. In Te Awamutu I helped set up a trust for community safety and I want that involvement to continue here on the island.”
When he’s not marketing real estate or clinching a deal, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, his community work, of course, and he also fits in a bit of running.
“To me this job is about having a passion for the community and looking after people. And selling a house takes just one buyer in the right place at the right time.”
