A teenage Bernie started his career as an apprenticed carpenter, then progressed to a self-employed Building Contractor. Bernie became known for running a well-organized job, producing quality workmanship and maintaining good customer relations. This recognition lead Bernie to being offered the Contracts and Project Management position for Design Builder’s Hawkes Bay in 1997, which Bernie accepted and over ten years successfully managed the construction of over 200 Hawkes Bay homes.
Bernie’s extensive experience in project management taught him the importance of; effective communication, attention to detail, creating and initiating systems and strategies that work but at the same time keep things simple. Bernie believes that successfully selling property is about having a good understanding of current market trends and values, honest, marketing and effective negotiation, coupled with a relationship between Vendor and Agent working with common understandings and goals.
